Vintage Grapes/Wine Cellar

This design was orignally painted inside a client's new "wine cellar" to give a vintage feel to the otherwise new construction.

A soft, earthy background was created using a loosely applied colorwash. Grapes and branches "hang" randomly in a painterly style. Simple "leaves" were used in lieu of the traditional grape leaf shape, to avoid a more predictable or stencil like quality, and give a softer, watercolor effect.
